SATURDAY
10K IN-LINE SKATE (6.2 MILES) COMPETITIVE - 8:30 AM
NON-COMPETITIVE - 8:45 AM
On Saturday, compete for $1,250 in prize money in the state's largest
in-line skating competition! Cash prizes will be awarded to the first five
(5) men and women in the first wave. See instruction book for more information on prizes.
(The competitive wave is for skaters who can complete the course in 24 minutes or less.)
The second wave is a non-competitive wave for recreational skaters. All skaters will
start at 3rd Street and Jefferson and finish at Fifth Street and Jefferson.
Each registered skater will receive a bag with snack and beverage samples.
After the skate, visit the Ski Pro/Ski Chalet/K2 booth for your snack bag.
All entrants will be required to wear helmets and wristguards; in addition,
protective padding is strongly suggested. This event is a USA Inline Racing
Sanctioned Event.
HI-HEALTH WHEELCHAIR ATHLETES, EVENT (6.2 MILES) - 9:00 AM
For physically-challenged participants in non-motorized chairs, this Saturday
event is essentially designed for trained racing athletes only.

ARIZONA HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO
PHOENIX CIVIC PLAZA HALLS D & E 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

FREE PRE-RACE PASTA ON THE PLAZA 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Register for any event and receive a free pass to attend the pasta dinner
to be held Saturday, November 11, on the Symphony Terrace at Phoenix Civic Plaza.
Enjoy live entertainment and free dinner. Extra tickets to the pasta dinner
will be available at the gate for $5 each. See registration packet for details.
SUNDAY ALBERTSONS/MICHELINA'S KIDS'
DASH - 7:45 AM
This special 250-yard course is free to all kids under age 10. A non-competitive
event, it will be run on the field at Bank One Ballpark. The first 750 entrants
who present their race bib at the Albertsons/Michelina's Kids' Dash booth on the day
of the event will receive a free Albertsons/Michelina's Kids' Dash T-shirt. Entry
forms must be filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian. All kids should
approach the field on the first base side from the stands.
PHOENIX AREA VOLKWAGEN DEALERS, 5K RUN (3.1 MILES) - 8:00 AM
 Custom medals will be
mailed to the top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers in each of the following
age divisions: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+. Individual age group award winners will be posted in
the November 23 issue of New Times. Age group awards will be mailed to the winners.
The 5K and Competitive Corporate Challenge are run simultaneously.
(Entrants in the "caterpillar" division must include 3 or more participants.)
Prizes awarded on the basis of creativity and originality. Judging will be held
along the course, so look for the signs. A maximum of 10 prizes will be given
for an individual caterpillar team.
KELLER GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT CORPORATE CHALLENGE
- 5K RUN - (3.1 MILES) - 8:00 AM Competitive Corporate Challenge Prizes:Medals and trophies
provided to the following: 1st Place Team:
Three (3) $150 American Express Gift Checks and a Keller hat.
2nd Place Team: Three (3) $75 American Express Gift Checks and a Keller hat.
3rd Place Team: Three (3) $25 American Express Gift Checks and a Keller hat.
Recruit your co-workers and form a team. Teams must have a minimum of three
(3) members. All members must be employees of the same company. Winners will
be determined by combining finishing times of the three fastest team members.
Companies and corporations may enter as many teams as they wish. Every team must designate a captain
to coordinate team members and register under a separate creative team name. Submit Corporate
Challenge entries either by mail or at the New Times building, 1201 E. Jefferson. No team
registrations accepted at instant registration sites, Wells Fargo, Albertsons, or on the day of the
race. All team entrants must be submitted together, no later than November 5, 2000. Absolutely no
team registrations or member substitutions after this date.
ALLTEL 5K WALK - (3.1 MILES) - 8:05 AM
 Although the walk is basically a non-competitive event, awards will be given within various age groups to competitive race walkers. Participants in the walk will be timed up to 45 minutes into the race and must have walked the entire distance. Awards will be given to the top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers in each of the following age divisions: 14 and under, 15–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45–54, 55–64, 65-69 and 70+. Awards will be mailed. Stop by the Alltel booth and register to win a Motorola StarTac Total Freedom phone with one year of service (long-distance and roaming included), up to 350 minutes per month. Free activation, to be used anytime. 
COX COMMUNICATIONS COSTUME CONTEST Participate in your favorite event this year – dressed in costume! Individual costumed participants, as well as “caterpillar” runners and walkers, are eligible to win prizes. Individual winner to receive a $250 value Cox Communications Gift Pak including $100 gift certificate for Cox services, $25 Coopers,town gift certificate and other goodies. Each participant in the winning Caterpillar team will receive a $125 value Cox Communications Gift Pak including a $50 gift certificate for Cox services, $25 Coopers,town gift certificate and other goodies. Ribbons, balloons and more to all finishers. Registered children will receive a special gift courtesy of Wells Fargo. Participants are encouraged to decorate strollers and dress in costume. (Due to steep ramp and staircase-only access, all stroller participants will finish the race at Jackson and 4th Street.) CITIZENS, 10K (6.2 MILES) - 9:30 AM Run with the best! Citizens, 10K participants will line up behind the Invited Athletes, 10K participants. Custom medals will be mailed to the top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers in each of the following age divisions in the 10K run: 12 and under, 13–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69 and 70+.
