 ...Golf is King at the Royal Oasis and our two USGA rated
18 hole par 72 championship golf courses, the "Ruby" and the
"Emerald" are the jewels in our crown. These courses were
originally designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee in 1964 and are established sites
for major championship tournaments played in the Bahamas. The recent redesign directed by the world renowned Fazio Design Group you are assured of
two world-class golfing challenges for either the novice or seasoned golfer. The
renovations include lengthening The Ruby course to increase the rating and
enhance play; a full irrigation system, and new greens featuring USGA California
modified tiff eagle grass; additional waste bunkers and a new snack bar. Each
course offers dramatically different play. There are also two driving ranges. Golf Management Group, Inc. was contracted to manage the golf operation, marketing and sales. Our staff of golf professionals can provide you instruction through individual lesions or you can attend one of our three day golf schools operated year round. A fully stocked pro shop and rental clubs are at your disposal. You can participate in one of our free "back to basics" golf clinics, Greg Norman's One on One Golf, Summer Golf Camp, weekly scrambles and skins game. Emerald Golf Course:The Emerald is cut through thick and beautiful vegetation but has wide fairways and landing areas. The greens are well protected with numerous bunkers, and sand comes into play on several of your drives. This course allows you to pull the "Big Dawg" out on all of the par 4s and 5s, and from the back tees, a couple of the par 3s might need the driver. The Fazio Design Group has turned this course into a challenge for all levels of play.

Par/Slope/Rating: 72/121/72.3With trade winds always blowing, seemingly in your face on every hole, coupled with a challenging new Fazio design, the Ruby provides an excellent golf experience. The Fazio Design Group's reshaping of fairways, bunkers and greens has taken this Joe Lee design to a new level of playability. Numerous sugar white bunkers give the eye a pleasing contrast against the emerald colored fairways and greens - but steer clear of these steep lipped traps or the results may not be sweet.
